newbie in Seattle

Hey all, moved here from Montana couple years ago. I decided that I needed to get back into rafting, so I bought/built a cataraft. I have become comfortable at the helm, and am now ready to try out some local rivers. But I was wondering if any of you might have some advice...

I want to get to know some class 2-3 water by the end of the summer, and maybe be ready to step it up next year. Not knowing the area, and with rusty paddling abilities, I was thinking I would be better off joining a group and/or taking some classes.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate the advice.

Thanks

Will be on the upper sauk (taking people from Ohio), bedal to whitechuck on Sunday June 21 if you want to get your boat out there and join our boat (mostly class II with one class III at the end).
