New World Record ~ 186 Feet

Quote:
Tyler Bradt now holds the unofficial world record for the highest waterfall run in a kayak. Check out the video below as Bradt documents before the fall.

Bradt successfully kayaked the 186-foot Palouse Falls in Eastern Washington. The freefall lasted for approximately four seconds.

According to WIKIPEDIA, "Bradt had previously been the world record holder for his 2007 descent of 107-foot (33 m) Alexandra Falls on the Hay River in the Northwest Territories. This record was broken by a Brazilian kayaker who ran 127-foot (39 m) Salto Belo of the Rio Sacre just a month prior to Bradt's newest record descent over Palouse Falls.[2] Bradt suffered only minor injuries from this record feat."

Bradt gave video footage and photos to Sports Illustrated. The fall is amazing,

Still awesome, but seriously...

Is this a joke? did you check the date that he ran the drop? I think your flux capacitor is broken and we just went back to the future.

Oh come on, we dont just willy nilly delete threads. For one thing, the flux capacitor joke is worth keeping this thread alive for a long time.

Had you seen the highest dive video is nearly equal in height with some flips...I use this when I teach projectile motion to my biomechanics class.
