New to Jackson, Anything Going?

Just moved to Jackson, WY. Is anything going within a few hours of here. Have a few weeks before work starts and looking to get out. Is this the best forum for the area or is there something better? Heard mesa falls might be good, what's it like at the lowish flow that it's at?

Alpine canyon runs year round and winter wave should be in right now, although I haven't been there since the landslide so im not sure if it was effected. It is just up river of where the slide was. Mesa should be good to go and the whole Henrys fork run too. The road does close for winter though.

Any way of finding out if the road is still open? Do you mean the put in rode for the run or the whole by-way.
