now to give you the inside scoop about hos this came to be imported into the U.S.
Corran sent me photos of this new toy some time at the end of the summer, knowing that I used to race (not well, but I did train). He didn't do alot of work on it. It was a big group effort by some of the Italian paddlers who were still training for slalom around the DR factory.

I posted it in my blog and people started asking about it.

Jaime McEwan spread the word about it, and I heard back from more people. So, I got the price from the factory. This price reflects making a comittment to a container full of these things. There is enough interest among clubs/teams, but there are some spots left on the container so the ordering is open to the public until the container ships sometime in January. At that point, the entire operation goes retail.

This boat is an adult sized boat. It's big enough for the tall guys to knock around in, but not big enough for them to be competetive. Think of it as the medium size offering of the new 350 cm boats.

I'm going to make more postings as I get more people in my boat to see what the fit range really is.
Total Whitewater Fun

Ok. enough rambling. Just thought some racers and cruisers would like to know this boat exists.

best place to reach me if you have questions is the old DR business email I set up two years ago

The pre-order thing closes at the end of the day Friday, Jan 30 so I thought I'd give this a bump.

there are a bunch of these boats bought by people in Colorado (5 in Durango, some on the front range), so there will be a definite effort to get them out there as cheap as possible.

I hope everyone is enjoying the snow. I'm tempted to do a 4 day weekend if I have enough miles to get me to Albequerque. All our eastern snow just turned to ice, except for northern New England.
