New feature in Golden Play Park... ?

I was driving across the Washington St. Bridge yesterday and I noticed a new feature on the downstream side of the bridge. I didn't get a great look at it , but definitely wasn't there before. This feature would be the farthest downstream feature now. Anybody know anything about this? I might go down there and check it out sometime this week.

I think I might know what your talking about but as far as I know, it's not knew. I think there are 1 or 2 little features downstream of the library hole and below the bridge. Is there really enough water in the park to see the feature very well?

I saw them working on the old Bingo hole (which was awesome until they ruined it 9 years ago). Maybe they "fixed it?"

Below the bridge, I think (I could be wrong) they just temporarily positioned some rocks to divert water all the way river right in order to install some exit steps (maybe of concrete). It looks like they are installing a few more access/exit point upstream as well.

Frank, that definitely looks like what could be going on down there.

One of the last great front range features. . . They killed it when they updated. Kinda lost my Golden mojo after that.

I agree. I was walking the dog there today and stopped for a good look. I'm guessing it's more river access, not trying to fix a surf spot.

Off topic.
Will there enough water in the whitewater park to play this weekend - saturday april 12th? It is about 58 CFS right now.
Is it worth the trip if it reaches 100? It is suppose to be warm the next 4 days.

Thanks,
Chris

You could probably just barely scrape down most of the park. I've been seeing a few diehards messing around at a few of the drops near the library. I saw my first tuber of the year a few weeks ago.
