new books

As a paddler I really enjoy reading books, especially guidebooks, about the sport. At cks we have been updating our media items and we have some new books to offer: Northwoods Whitewater, NC Rivers and Creeks, Futaleufu Whitewater and we still have a few copies of CRC2. Check them out if you like to read about kayaking:

Does anybody know about any other good guides/books that are out currently?

thanks,

Bryan at CKS[/i]

I got a copy of Amaral's Idaho guide earlier this summer, so I expect it's still out. Do you guys have the Costa Rica Chasing Jaguars guide and the Gringo's Mexico guide? Those are both ones I want to get ahold of.

books

i may be totally uninformed if this one is listed, but Nealy has a kayak book (intermediate) out that i found quite entertaining....

especially the part about how to get your buddies to be a hole probe...

esential reading! - i would often find myself laughing out loud to myself.

anyone know the name? i think Kayak is on the cover. too bad that dude is gone.

The title is "Kayak" with some other subtitle, "Animated Intermediate and Advanced Guide to Whitewater Kayaking".

It is definately a must-see for entertainment value, and it should be a must-read for beginners to learn about reading water among other things.

Liquid Locomotive and Never Turn Back are both good. I have also had a recommendation about A Story That Stands Like A Damn
