A number of things could be causing you trouble. First, what type of kayak are you in? Do you properly fit in the kayak?

Generally, if you head goes so does your body, were you looking to one side or the other?

More info may be helpful...

Leaning left...

Most kayakers are generally left leaning. Check the "eddy" forum, you'll see most of us are liberal, eco-friendly, hippy types. Nothing to be concerned about, you'll fit in fine. We do a decent job of putting up with the righties too as long as they can put up a decent arguement.

Talk to your local paddle shop... Or, check the boat for bricks and stuff. If the boat was left in the sun or in a shed in GA in the summer heat, you may have a retarded boat.

And yeah, if you snuggly fit into the LIL joe you gotta be pretty big. Check out a bigger creek boat or look to the C-1
