Need an easy playspot to come back to kayaking

I'm new to Colorado and haven't been in my boat in 9 years----got sucked into too much rock-climbing! So I'm here in Colorado (Boulder) almost a year now and I got on the Poudre last weekend and swam twice because I was really tentative crossing the squirrely eddy lines. I'd like to get myself to some playspots or really easy (II) river where I can just do eddy turns and peel-outs til my fingers prune up.

Where do I go that is not too far from Boulder? I'm looking for easy eddys.

deckers or denver are dam control and are not running high right now, these are good bets.

deckers is sceenic and you can go miles above the chutes easy class II.

denver is closer and you could do a number of things, chatfeild down, union, or behind rei down to tressel.

other thoughts?

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me a little bit more about these spots or tell me where to look them up online?

Chutes on eddyflower.

You can easily run a filter for the grade that you want in the area that you want on eddyflower.
