Near disaster on the Fractions today

Today I witnessed a group hike off the Fractions. 2 kayakers and 3 duckies. The group was spread out on both sides of the river.... no gear was lost.

It is reported that they had to hike across a mile of cacti and scrub to get to the road and hitch back.

The leader of the group looks alot like the guy on page 411 of the new whitewater guide book for the rockies.

anyone else see any of this?

Only some of the aftermath. I was leaving from Railroad Bridge Takeout and saw a couple of duckies and a kayak just sitting on the ground near the road, and all around were the cacti. I was wondering what was up, but I thought they were nuts sitting there with the duckies like that.
