Yeah I pulled the pussy move and got donkeys, which makes the hike a ton easier. But the paddle to portage ratio on the kings is unbelievable, none of the portages take over 10 minutes (if you run the raw dawg). I love the dpp it is one of the most amazing places I have ever been but for me if you want to just plan kayak go to the kings. Can't go wrong with any of the high sierras, can't believe how long they ran this year.
O yeah there are two gauges for the run, at the putin gauge we had 140ish and the miller crossing estimate was 500-600ish, but the run can be done at a variety of levels but lower allows you to fire up more of the big drops, check out: http://www.kayakphoto.com/darinmcquo...directory.html
