Massive snow in San Juans

I don't know if you front rangers are aware but we just got another ~2 feet of snow here in the Durango area. If you want some sick action this boating season this will be the place where everything is going off.

Yep, friggin' dumping! At my little place up on the Florida River we're running outta places to put the white stuff. Nice "problem" to have. The Animas is gonna go off big. Repeat of May 2005? Maybe...

Awesome! Seems like a lot of major storms hitting down there.

Planning an upper A trip this summer. Sounds like its gonna be fun.

Reclamation's Operation Plan

We have 164% of average on our Snotel data for the San Juans as of today. Just a heads up for you floater types, we will likely be releasing 2500 cfs beginning the first week of March and continueing through the end of June. If any of you have questions regarding flows on any of the San Juan tributaries and especially reservoir operations, let me know. Don't ask me about the Dolores, that is not a San Juan trib and I don't do much with it.

congradulations Durangoids it is going to get ugly,in a good way!but not just for you,the whole quad state region is looking good, only the Gila and the Bear were low and still in the 80%'s.
Front Range 96%,Yampa 103?,No platte 102/ Price/San Rafael103,Oqden 108 apx still pretty good.Front Range usually gets big upslope sping storm so if we hold above 90% and get one we'll be in good shape.

Mogollon Rim 134,San FRanciscos over 200 Virgin 164

RIO Grande 175% Chama 170 something Sangre de Cristo's and Cimarron 140's maybe get the elusive Canadian this year

Just hope we keep getting snow for a while it should be epic!
