Hey, we are driving through CO and are wondering if October Hole is surfable ... as in, enjoyably surfable on the way home. Thanks in advance!!

Don't think so. I put the gauges up here:
Saint Vrain River - October Hole - River Brain

According to that, it puts it at under 100 cfs. There will be a to pool splash around in, but the feature won't offer much of anything.
