Lower Blue River Changes

Hey all,
It's been very up and down this summer at Green Mountain Dam and on the Lower Blue River. I've tried to keep up with the changes, but it was brought to my attention this week I haven't posted here in weeks. My sincerest apologies!

We've been releasing around 267 cfs from Green Mtn Dam to the Lower Blue all week. We had some maintenance on the power plant last week, but that is over and we bumped releases back up slightly.

I've had several inquiries asking about this weekend, September 22. My best guess is we'll maintain around 267 cfs, but I have been proven wrong many times by weather, irrigation calls, and other water rights. We're almost into fall now and seeing how things are still so dry, I think more folks might want to take their water.

Be sure to keep an eye on the gage!
Have a great weekend!
--Kara

Lower Blue drops a little

Hi all,
Inflows to Green Mountain Reservoir have declined and Colorado-Big Thompson Project depletions further upstream on the Colorado River at Granby Reservoir have slowed. As a result, releases from Green Mountain to the Lower Blue are cutting back by 50 cfs.
This afternoon around 5:30, we will drop releases to the Lower Blue to about 210 cfs. We will maintain the 210 cfs rate until further notice.

I will keep you all posted of any additional changes. If you have related questions, please feel free to contact me by e-mail or via cell phone. I'm on the road this week for some public meetings.

Best,
Kara
