when is this going to take place?

your first post intrigued me greatly.

your 2nd makes me think maybe this isn't a good idea. I try not to do stupid things. If it's stupid in the sense of unnecessary and unmitigated risk. silly, unchartered, adventurous, out of the ordinary, different...all good things.

when to go innertubin'?

i am hopin' that the weather will cooperate(as it always does in colorado!) and allow the mission to go down this month(ASAP)....no need to go to chukar trail either...Warner Trail option works the best, i'll do the bikeride shuttle...so maybe 2 days...it may take a whole extra day to reach chukar(3 days) i'll lead all the crux zones-NARROWS PINCH, HAIRY FERRIES, and the GREAT FALLS zone.....

Hate to tell you this Milo, but the first descent of the Black Canyon in innertubes was done by Fletcher Anderson and Fryar Calhoun in 1977. Gore's still waiting though!
