Looking for Ducky partners for Poudre River runs

Hi All:

I've been taking a Hyside Padillac Ducky down the Poudre for about 10 years. Done every run except the narrows. I can handle class 4 but I'm fine with the class 3 plus runs. My Ducky partner of many years went off to a new job, so if any of you out there would like to join up for Ducky runs, please contact me. The Poudre is at a good level now.

Thanks

John

Hey John, we have a very good group of Ik's in the Montrose area that does all the quality class III-III+ runs on the front range, but later on in the year head further east. Maybe we can connect later to run sections of the Ark, the lower Blue and Taylor river. I organize most of our runs so contact me, Gunther at 970-497-6512. If we drive more than 2 hrs. one-way we make a point of doing weekend trips. Woody Creek section of Roaring Fork is another favorite.

Duckies

Hi Gunther:

Didn't get out much last season, but its a new year. Are you folks still Duckying? The snowpack feeding the Poudre is looking good this year and I'd be happy to host your group if you ever make it out here. I'll try to get out to your area this season.

John

Hey John, yep the group is still somewhat together but getting smaller every year. We are planning many weekend trips this year with multiple rivers to run. Time and money will probably keep us on the western slope and lots of great runs fairly close by will keep us close. The entire San Miquel, the upper Dolores, the unbeatable Taylor river, the Crystal River, the upper San Juan, and the upper Piedra are all selections for this year. Late in the year we might head east to catch the Ark and lower Blue. So you've got my contact info, give me a jingle to boat this season. Gonna be good!!!

John,

PM me your info. I ducky a few of the creeks on the front range and hit the poudre a bunch over the summer.

Put out word when you're on the Arkansas gunner. Up for a run most of the time. Self employed so can "rearrange" work schedule with short notice most of the time.
