Looking for a changing bag

I'm sick of exposing my not-so-tone, over 40 body at take-outs and put-ins. Last weekend I watched a guy totally change inside of a big, fleece, bag looking thing. I liked it. In fact, it may just be fun to wear . Anyway, has anyone seen one of these? Where can I buy one? I don't sew, but it sure looks easy to make if I can't find one.

Thanks,
Deb

Take two beach towels, sew them together, leaving a spot for your head....think poncho. Throw it on, change. 10bucks. If you are a guy just use one beach towel, wrap around you.

Thanks GH, that's what I intend on doing if I can't buy one. I don't own a sewing machine, never been one of those 'domestic godess' types. Right now I use a large sweatshirt, which works until I bend over. The husband will hold the towel for me, but that sometimes cuts into the boating time....

You could get one of these... http://www.sportkilt.com/ They aren't cheap but you can change under one of them. They work great.

OR you could get one of these for a bit less but it gives you more room to move about. http://www.themoonroom.com/what.php

I believe I saw a link or ad on Boatertalk that sold these "bags". The cost was $95. FYI - I was in West Virginia this spring and just about everyone had one. Some folks had sewed their own, but one of the guys that had made his wasn't very good with a sewing machine and made the bottom portion way too narrow. You very nearly tripped each time you used it. Post this question on Boatertalk and I bet you will find what you are looking for.

you're looking for the Changeling. I don't know where they sell them, but changeling was a sponsor of the Golden Comunity Rodeo and donated one of their bag/robes as a prize.

I'm not sure what the cost is on them, but the one I saw looked waaaay sweeter than some ghetto 2 towel jawn.

Get in touch with Gary Mullins (gtoc-1) he's knows where to get them.

Boof Wear

Crash Lowe's mom started this company many years ago, when he was a struggling pro kayaker w/ Dagger. Check it out they make several different styles now. Boof Wear is the original fleece changing room.

clothing. huh. still paying for original sin? whatever that is.

nature lovers...get natural. there's nothing wrong with getting naked. if I had a dollar for every person who's been blinded by my shining white ass I could own a town the size of Abilene. public nudity is as much a part of kayaking as public urination.

just watch out for tha po po.
