Left handed paddles???

Does anyone know of any shops that have any left handed paddles in stock around the front range. I'm looking for a straight shaft with a 60 deg. offset. My current blade keeps getting smaller every year due to wear. Pretty soon I'll just be paddling with a blade the sice of the shaft.

CKS does special orders all the time.

CKS| Whitewater Paddles: Rodeo/Freestyle Paddles, Recreational Whitewater Paddles, River Running Paddles

Takes about 2-3 weeks

No luck.

I would seriously dought any store in the country would stock that paddle. In buying for a WW shop for over 6 years. I have never had a customer request a 60 degree paddle, let alone a left handed 60 degree.

But, you may be able to get a Lendel adjustable breakdown paddle. That can be set at that offset. I know it is not the news you wanted to hear, but it is true.

When I started paddling in the early 90's I started using the radical 80 degree off set. Since the late 90's the norm has been 45 degree and less. It's just far easier on the wrists and shoulders.

Slalom boaters still prefer some of the higher offsets and that is why companies like Lendel, Double Dutch, and Galosport still offer them. But, few retail shops carry these brands due to lack of interest by the masses. Confluence Kayaks in Denver did carry Lendel, give them a call.

I've got a 80 or 90 offset left-hand Schlegel you can have, vintage 1990. It came with an old boat and I'd love to get rid of it. The thing's a club, so you probably wouldn't want it as your primary paddle, but maybe as a spare. duncleston__at__gmail.com or 970-481-1836

Call Eric at BOC -- he's one of the few lefty boaters... (as his his brother, Mike).

If anyone will have one in stock, it'll be him.
