Latest ice report on WW?

Has anyone been/hiked/floated WW lately? Any updates on the ice? Is it floatable yet?

Seems like this year is going to be a short river season, need to get on the water asap!

Alex

We got a permit for March 31st. Just call the BLM office and ask. They will be able to tell you current conditions as best they know. We didn't specifically ask when we called in for our permit, but they usually keep up with that pretty well. There is another thread going on about this as well - someone asking about a Feb. WW trip: https://www.mountainbuzz.com/forums/f...tml#post261361

Thanks! I checked that thread and didn't want to hijack it. I saw a thread a few weeks ago about someone hiking to the overlook to see, so thought someone had an idea.

We will call the BLM office. Are you guys doing an overnighter?

Yes, overnighter. First trip of the season for us and a birthday celebration for my husband! Just really bummed our pup can't make it, but otherwise looking forward to it.

I'd love to hear conditions. I'm thinking of going in there in a couple of weeks.

I heard someone went in there with a raft mid-January and had to hike/raft/drag? their boats out due to ice.
