Lander Wyoming questions

Hey boaters,



I am going to be in the Lander Wy area next week. Anything to boat up there in this heat ?

What are you boating with? Depends on what you are looking for. There are a couple nice floats, but they are a couple hours aways, The Big Horn and Green. Wind River Canyon is great, but is commercial trips only. If you have a pack raft, mini me etc. you could float the Popo Agie. Other wise head to Jackson and get on the Snake. I live in Lander.

When did they close Wind river to the public?

as far as I know it has always been closed to public use, being on the reservation and all.

Thanks for the beta. We are in kayaks and any kind of float would be fine. We will probably hit the snake later in our trip. So damn hot we are just looking for water to cool off.
