Well, he held on to his paddle.
Raises the question of whether it's better to be up Shit Creek without a paddle, or without a boat.

Lesson du Jour:
If you've got a warrant out for your arrest, probably better to self rescue.

wonder what his felony was? the only felony the repository has him charged with was theft back in 2013 and it's a closed case marked exonerated. The only remotely close thing was a misdemeanor stalking charge from this time last year, also closed. - not that he doesn't have some big mistakes on his repository, but just wondering why the repository doesn't show the warrant being issued before today. (also, he should really get a drivers license before driving again)

This a-hole stole a local Boisian's kayak from her apartment, paddled it all season with the local crowd, then when the owner of the boat recognized it while at the put in for Staircase and confronted him, he claimed he bought it off craigslist in Oregon, though later it turned out no said record of the add was ever found. When the owner called the sheriff, he ran. She got her kayak back, but he was never charged. He's a bad dude, watch your gear if he ends up in your town. Karma's a beautiful thing!!! Sorry to be giddy, but it's perfect this dude lost his boat! Well, hopefully it was his...

glad they got him then, his charges listed in the repository made him sound like a real douchebag, and your story made him look even worse. thanks for the story.

I know who you're talking about, I actually think he said he got it from Washington. And he didn't run, he drove to crouch and parked in the grocery store parking lot and waited for the cops, because (he says) Laurie was quite aggressive when she approached him at staircase and nobody was around. You can get the police report of it all.

He stole her boat....She was sticking up for herself. What would you do? He left when she called the sheriff, period. Driving away and going to get a cell signal, hmm, I can only imagine why, maybe to have someone remove other stolen gear from your property before the authorities roll in? Sorry pal, I'd consider the company you keep. I didn't even know his former rap sheet until this news came out, he's not a nice guy, and the kayaking community around Boise have shunned him for good reason.

2 misdemeanors isn't much of a rap sheet. From the looks of it on the repository he hasn't even ever been pulled over for speeding. I was with him when he bought the kayak in Spokane since he was my darts partner (we played doubles). Remember there are two sides to every story. Link to darts league tournament just in case you think they dont exist: Boise Darts Tournament...

It changes between Post Falls, Boise, and Spokane.
