Kansas paddlers

It might be to late in the season but I am driving through the state on Monday and wondered if the hole near Lawrence is running. Mail me at [email protected] if you have any info. It would be a great way to break up the drive.

The pics on the website look great! Who would ever think of Kansas for boating.

It's been a bit of a dry summer for the Waka Wave.......We'd definitely welcome any and all paddlers passing by when it does have water.

Hobie,

Too bad you didn't get to go through Iowa. There is a playspot in Cedar Falls that is flowing enough for loops! It is called the "Clayhole" and you can look it up on AW if you like.

I have been lobbying the Cedar Falls City Council on behalf of the Prairie Rapids Paddlers (www.prairierapidspaddlers.org) who are trying to raise money to improve the features in the river.

If you ever have plans to go through there let me know and I will put you in contact with Ty Graham who is hoping that at some point a rep will bring some demos to the area. (Another untapped market!)

Travel safely.

-Bryan

Didn't know there was paddling in Kansas! I have family obligations there next summer and was looking forward (insert sarcasm here) to an I-70 drive east of the Rockies. Might have to bring the playboat!

What about the Tulsa wave, is that running? It would be sweet to boat while driving across the midwest.

The Tulsa Wave is listed on the KWA guage page, but I'm not sure how up to date the level indicators are............
