what class rapids do you prefer?
I'm a class 3 boater and we have a group of class 2/3 paddlers that plans trips all the time. the website is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Coloradokayakers/
There are nearly 200 people on it, so be prepared for a deluge of e-mails
the kinds of sections our group has paddled are:
*fractions/frog rock, brown's, parkdale, cottonwood, and the milk run on the Ark.
*Pumphouse, shoshone, and South Canyon on the Colorado.
*upper and lower Blue
*Bridges, lower mish, and filter plant on the poudre.
Tunnel 1 down to the play park on Clear Creek (and down to the library hole too!).
*Boulder creek town run.
*80rd to apple valley rd and apple valley rd down to back bear hole on the north st vrain.
*Deckers, foxton, waterton, union chutes, and c470 to the platte river grille on the south platte.
Anything from roll sessions in the pool to class 1/2 runs to class 3+ runs are fair game. If you were to post to the list for a weekend trip on the colorado or ark you would likely get several people to join you, as long as it was not too difficult of a section.
See you on the river!
