Jackson takeover by Confluence - for real?

Anyone know if this is a bad April fool's joke or the real thing:

For Immediate Release: - Jackson Kayak - Whitewater Kayaks, Fishing Kayaks, Recreational Kayaks Jackson Kayak Whitewater Kayaks, Fishing Kayaks, Recreational Kayaks

The post says Confluence successfully executed a hostile takeover of Jackson. If it's true, this is a very sad day, whether you like Jackson boats or not.

Well, based on the words "April Fools" and the picture of Ron Burgundy I'm going to go with joke.

I think we need more proof though. This isn't the first time EJ sold out a kayak company to confluence. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. MOAR FAXTS

Looks like another one of EJ's April Fools deals to me.

The entire Wall St takeover story sounds very made up to me.

Stay tuned for the rest of this story.

Definitely real. The new Jackson line of boats will feature 100 holes drilled into the hull, 10 new ratchet systems weighing 35 lbs, and a 3 year warranty based on rolling loaded dice.

EJ never owned Wavesport, he was just a designer.
