i would think so.....the north side of the elks are still holding nicely. the anthracite drainage still had lots of snow left over last weekend, and there is still a healthy amount left above CB, on the south side of the Elks. im gonna guess one more week

Hey Milo, if OBJ is still going, will it be going on Thurs./Friday? There's been a lot of mixed information about the levels on the buzz. What's your take? (Everyone's feedback is encouraged).

My 2 cents.

I feel that obj, east, daisy are not done. sure, all the heavys are done with it at macho flows, but it is still fun to run at what was once a good low level.

We are going back up this weekend and next as well, to practice our sledding.
we'll be there fri, sat, sun, if you want to team up.

some of us dont run everything, and i'd have to say that the 25'er on obj might be a little low, as well as big woody on daisy.

As for the crystal.

I think,

I think that crystal mill is high, as is the punch bowls. NF cryatal should be a good medium high, but prob the most managable of them all.

In years past, I have gone up there with 750cfs on the gauge, and 500 cfs for the gauge.

We ran crystal mill both times with 500 on the low side for the mill falls and 750 making a hole.

the puchbowls and the north fork were both still in with the NF being on the low side and punchbowls on the good side.

I want to add, that I am just getting familiar with both of these areas, but we are headded to CB this weekend if you are around.

I also am FAR from being a good, and or reliable boater, I just wanted to share my opinion.

There are much better people than I who could advise you, I am just sharing what i have done in years past

EDIT: I just looked at the gauges. 775 right now, I think it is starting to come in.

Bob, thanks for the update and for your candor. The first time I ran ObJ it was late in the season and the water was low. We ran everything, but I don't know what the gauges read and it was definitely low. I'm not some macho guy and I'm bringing a friend who hasn't ever seen it, so we're not looking for epic flows and sponsorship footage. We'll be there Wednesday night late or Thursday and Friday and hope to see you and your crew. Thanks again.

Milo: thanks for the heads up. We scraped down the east and we got in a low lap on OBJ with two first timers. Totally worth the trip. Thanks again for the information. If you ever need a jetboat shuttle to the confluence, let me know.
