irony of sponsors of whitewater/outdoor games

does it strike anyone else funny(or extremely sad....),that outdoor companies, that were built on the sweat/resources/tax breaks of the american people(sorry,i'll apologize to The North Face, and all the others now,who never made anything stateside(except profits),that im aware of.....),then turn around and fire that USA workforce, unbolt the production machinery from the factory floor, and head overseas,so they can ignore all enviromental, labor, and business practices(without a major retail price drop, that eliminating all those "costs" should bring(afterall, thats the reasons they gave for the move)....),plus contribute nothing substanial to our tax base, now, while still suckling at the USA taxpayers teet(as GWB says----"make those tax cuts permanent for business",even when they dont add any USA production, workers or worker benefits....),then show up in trustfundland(vail, aspen, telluride, boulder, etc.),a nd sponsor the yearly "bread and circuses" games, while wrapping themselves in either the american flag(the best ones are made in china,afterall....),or the "green" movement.something tells me no boater would want to work at their overseas plants, breathe the air there,or drink/fish/boat the water behind the factories.i guess i'll keep repairing my old USA/British/Western Euorpean gear, using the local craftsmen in my area(who actually add to the tax base),and recycling more of that older higher quality gear.if a need a pair of river sandals that badly,i'll just buy the knock-offs at Wal-Mart(probably made at the same factory anyway, and i know WM to be the great Satan,of profits at any cost---at least theyre upfront about it!!!),at a fraction of the cost of the "branded" ones, and spend the remaining dollars at my local eateries/businesses,that again, contribute to our tax base.......but then again, maybe its just me who sees the irony.......

Rewrite that rant after you've taken English 101 and I'll consider reading it.

While I completely agree he needs English 101, the dude has a point. I would wager that very few, if any, of the industry "pros" can respond to this legitimately.

As KSBV says, "Just because they have an office here, doesn't mean they're from here".
