The guy to ask is Aaron at Core Mt Sports. There is apparently some great boating up thataway.

casper ww park is goin off....

I hit up the Casper Whitewater park yesterday at 1500cfs. It's got 5 drops. The first has a great wave that you could get blunts on if you had 7 ft boat. My LL vision 56 was just barely too short. Another 500 cfs and it would be on. The wave is super friendly because the incoming water is almost horizontal. Nice little foam pile, about 15 ft wide. Could be epic at higher water levels.

Drop 2 isn't much.

Drop 3 has a narrow totally green wave that could improve or get washed out at higher/lower flows....I'm not sure on that one.

Drop 4 has a really good hole. Loops and cartwheels abound. Think steamboat at 1500 cfs but not as munchy. It's retentive yet gentle. I'm sure BA would be tricky wu'in all over the place.

Drop 5 is new, way downstream, and small at current levels.

The water was warm. The distance is the only problem. It's 220 miles from Fort Collins.

Definitely worth the exploration if your local playspot has not come up yet. There were three guys in the water over a period of 4 hours.

It's a hidden gem that could be amazing at 2000 CFS+.

Google the Casper whitewater park to find the official website. There's a flow link to the north platte river in casper at the bottom as well as directions.

PM me if you want to carpool up. I'm definitely interested in going again.
