In CB looking for the next class V creeks, where to go?

I am up in Cb and going to be here for a couple days. Is Durango worth heading down to? What about Pagosa area?
Uncompagre, Big Cimmeron?

More Importantly where are there going to be boaters who will boat this stuff with me?

Thanks

P.S. Front Range and BV area will be later during FIBARK and such

Keep an eye out for Mike Konschnik & the DDP crew. They're down there and are good peeps. If you need some local contacts for whatever reason let me know and I'll help you out. Just email...

yeah from what ive heard and seen rollin through town, this is gonna be a hoppin weekend for CB. the flows could be a little higher, theyre pretty low right now, but i dont think that will stop anybody.

big cim is only about an hour and a half by car, the unc is maybe two hours, henson creek is just about an hour south, and cottonwood is another half beyond that. durango is pretty far. pagosa is kinda far too and involves the san luis valley (fun) or multiple passes on 149 to south fork (more fun). not sure what else is close besides those and the ark. if you do go lake city/149 through creede to pagosa you could hit up henson and cottonwood and then proceed en route to pagosa, youd be right on the way for SFRG as well.

Yeah, I am not worried about finding people to boat with in CB, I already ran into Ian, Kevin, and Josh and I could have sworn DK and Natalie passed me. I just need to know if there are any boaters in the areas mentioned or will meet me in those areas that want to do some boating. Lake city would also be a choice, but people don't live there do they?

I think there's one guy local to Lake City; when I paddled Henson 2 years ago some landowners said there was a local kayaker who tended to keep it clear of wood. Not sure who he is though.
