If Schlitterbahn in Kansas closes.

I’m thinking if Schlitterbahn in Kansas closes. They could turn it into a white water park, like in okc and North Carolina. They would already have a river for rafting or kayaking, you know the rides at Schlitterbahn where you take the conveyor up and tube down they could use that for the kayaking, rafting or riverboarding, they could even modify the lazy river and add rapids in it. The best Schlitterbahn rides are the tube chutes that feel like rafting. I regular are kind of boring when you think of it. I think maybe places like riversports okc and white water kayaking parks redefine the water park.

Pretty unlikely. People in Kansas simply don't understand the reasoning behind whitewater boating and municipalities don't seem to understand signage releasing them from liability. Just look at the spillway/play features in the Wichita river park. Every time they get rain and the water comes up to a fun level the authorities shut it down and start issuing citations..... Recreational activities beyond football, baseball and wrestling are not even on the radar of 99% of Kansas' residents.

Wow, there's a Schlitterbahn in Kansas? They built a whitewater park in Oklahoma. Just call it Creationism WW park. In the beginning, God created a sweet wave/hole, and it hasn't evolved since.

That big coaster that a kid was decapitated on looks
absolutely insane. The fact that they have netting over it to contain somebody getting airborne on some huge drop about says it all.Hairball "rafting" indeed.Still if I went there you'd have to give her a go,and hopefully not soil yourself.I knew a dude that went balls out on the alpine slide at Heritge Square ( recently closed )and detailed on a curve went airborne and sprained his wrist and got all scraped up,lucky he did not get jacked up a lot worse.

The non- mountain states don't seem to get what they are missing ,and restrict access to some of their best potential runs...Sioux Falls ,SD!!!...Ohio has some cool short creeks and falls that you can't run ,even though other runs just as dangerous you can,or if it was in a state where kayaking is common you could run them. Oh well...
