Ideal Flow for North Fork Crystal?

Eddy flower says the best flow is 200cfs but its showing 455 (current flow) to be a "Low" level. Anyone know what the best flow window is?

Over seven on the gauge is worth the drive up. The gauge is the north and south frok combined plus a bit. 455 is great for the outer gorge of the crystal gorge.

There is no gauge for the North Fork. The only gauge is on the main Crystal and includes the North Fork, South fork, and Yule. The North Fork probably has about 40% of the gauge reading. We did the NF last year at 500 on the gauge and it seemed like the low side of good. Locals, feel free to correct me...

For how far you'd be driving I would want 650 on the Crystal Guage - it can go higher or lower. Probably not worth the 4x4 slog now unless you are close by.

Heres some pics from HIGH flow (1300 cfs) in '07:The Colorado Kayak Chronicle: Cyrstal Creeking - A high Water Event - North Fork of the Crystal and Crystal Mill Falls (note the put in rock splitting the flow at the top of the 1st drop on this one if you have been there - holy crap!)

and

Medium/Low Flow (600 cfs) last year: The Colorado Kayak Chronicle: North Fork of the Crystal - 2008 Photos

hope that helps....

Thanks for the link to the high water run. Really cool to see the run with juice.
