how to tell apart boats by year

I am looking to buy a small Pyranha Burn and have found one privately, but I definately want the 2010 model and not the previous years. Is there any way I can tell (serial #) or other way if it is a used boat that I am getting the correct year? Thanks for any imput.

digits

Last two digits are the year it was made. Digits in front are cycles or times of the year it was produced and Beginning is the company code.

On my Everest, there is an indentation on the back of the boat, on the left side, where the serial # is located. I would think it would be in the same place on the Burn.

You can also use the logos on the Burns to tell their age. The new fireball logo came out on the 2010's, to replace the triangle with the angular flames of the first generation hulls

I did it!!!

I purchased a small 2010 version Burn without even demo-ing one. It should be here in a few days. I hope I like it. It sure gets raving reviews. Any one out there own one too?

You will be stoked! I read your thing on liking the nomad. The burn is faster and "crisper".

I am so glad that I made the guy check the serial number before I bought the boat, sight unseen. It ended up being 2008 even though it was advertised as 2010, so I bought a brand new one. Still got a reasonable deal. At least it comes with a warranty (even though - from what I hear - that doesn't always mean anything). Now I can't wait to paddle - still lots of snow here! Oh well, snow computes to water in the Spring.
