How to show sequence shots?

How do you all make those cool sequence shots where you can see the whole line of the drop? Do I need some fancy editing software like photoshop?

Thanks

You can download the trial version of PS from adobe.com and it wont be to hard to do if you read the tutorial

Set up your canvass, align the images.

I use Photoshop and mask the individual kayak shots and combine them to create the composite image.

The cheapest way to be able to do this is PS elements, it does composties very well for nowhere near the full cost of PS. I use Lighroom for workflow & elements for modification type work. A good pic takes about 1.5 hr or so to get everything cloned in to lok natural. I guess kayak shots are a little easier as the background doesn't change as much (water), maybe 45 min to an hour.

Happy to toss you a copy of elements if you're ever up this way.

I've been using GIMP on the occasion that I do more heavy duty image manipulation, which is the open-source equivalent of Photoshop. You should be able to do the same thing w/ it and it's free.
