This is the only good tsunami picture that I've seen. Looks pretty impressive.

Does anyone know of any other good videos/pictures on the internet?

More than likely those people are history. Very sad.

Had a picture sent to me yesterday of this bay in Phuket... I thought they were logs... but sadly they were people. Maybe 7-800 floating in a pile.

Generations are totally wiped out. I was told that an island of over 700 people is totally gone. Like no one was ever there.

My brother-in-law passed me this link- prepare yourself, it's not pretty. There's is one photo that was taken from a tour boat that looks like there's a 20' cresting wave on the horizon heading right for them. Unbelieveable.

Happily the people in that photo are fine. Here's their story:

A site with alot of video and photos is at http://www.waveofdestruction.org

I don't think the tragedy of it all really hit me till I saw some of the photos. Unbelievably Sad.

Wow, I thought I understood the power of water. But, these videos are beyond what I had comprehended.

Thanks.

It's interesting to see the amateur video people pointing the camera at the ocean saying, wow, that's interesting at first, then wow, that's impressive a little later, then wow, holy shit, get out of here.

Here's some satelite images that confirm what thecraw said.

Not your typical 30 foot wave I guess.
