HELP! Can anyone help me get my boat from NC to CO?

So I have recently learned that no airline will ship my kayak and shipping companies quoted me at around 200 to send my Kayak to Colorado from NC.
I am wondering if anyone if making a trip out west from anywhere in the NC area to the CO area. I will gladly pay a good amount for you to help me. Gonna go crazy without my kayak!
Thanks!!

If you can get it to one of Forward Air's locations:

You can pick it up in Denver.
Should be @ $75

I live in Boone NC and may be headed that way. Not sure when though, may be several months from now. Where are you in CO and where is your Kayak in NC?

call it a 'surf board', put it in a bag of some sort, and the airlines should take it for ~$100 Most if not all the airlines have an allowance for surf boards, but still think kayaks are 14' long and weigh 75 lbs.

Have you seen the frame components Zorba makes? From the looks of them he's probobly right on the money, but let me know if you can wait a little while for your boat.
