Happy Birthday Gondon Banks

Just wanted to give a shout out to the beav. He is 49 today and showed up at bear creek very late to avoid his spankings. Happy Birthday Beav

Gary

I paddled the Bear with the Beav the last coupla nights and I felt pretty dam special. Did not know it was his birthday. Happy 49 Gordon! Only one more year 'till you can enter the masters freestyle competitions. Nothing like paddling down some muddy sewage filled road blast with the original mank legend. Blue teradactyls were attacking us left and right. I think one may have spread its monstrous wing into Gordo knocking him upside down briefly. Or maybe he was distracted by Edgeworth throwing rocks from shore with his "bad shoulder."
Other various legends may have recieved the Bear Creek Belt Buckle Beatdown over the last coupla days and some may have even tried to claim that the water came up between laps. Gary subtly reminded them that the water had done no such thing and that they merely sucked.
"It was twice as high last night as it was two nights ago"..or at least on the gauge upstream of Bear Lake. Can someone please explain to me why people are using this gauge? The gauge is above a res, which is above the run. I don't get it. The gauge is above a res, which is above the run. WTF???
What I do get is that when I showed up last night, and at the take-out, I got the birthday knuckles from Gordon Banks and I feel special.

Hey, Happy B-day, Gordon! Good paddling with you. And, Gar thanks for running out of eggs yesterday before I got there.

RW, I assume Bear Lake refers to Bear Creek Lake doesn't it? Which is below Morrison. If so, the gage should be accurate except for what is taken out at the diversion dam in Morrison. I don't know of a lake above the run except for Evergreen Lake.

Don't want to hijack the b-day post. See Bear Creek post for more on the gage reading.
