Handy water flow map

Here's a nice little product on found on the NOAA site from the USGS

That seems a bit misleading to me. Perhaps it is good to use in June and July but it currently shows a lot of blue and green that is unrunnable. For example, the San Juan above Pagosa is showing 436% of average streamflow for this date, but it's only 360 cfs, which still isn't a boatable flow...

Not sure the point is to watch boatable flows. Seems the purpose is to paint a picture of how each basin is flowing compared to its average flow for that day of the year.

Not perfect but not bad.

I always love messing around with these tools from usgs or nrcs.

SCIENCE!

Still like the american whitewater page for the quick look most the time. Riverbrain sometimes. USGS gauges for the platte.
