Not sure what the flow will be then, but we did it the first wknd of May at 3600 cfs and it was fast and fun. Perhaps a little too fast to overnight. Class III rollercoaster with big wave trains. Here's a TR from one of the guys in the group: Gunni Gorge weekend TR - EddyFlower Forum

You will supposedly have flows of at least 3500 in mid June (or perhaps until mid July for that matter) The 13.5 mile float would probably only have about 3 - 4 actual river hours depending on how much you play, rest, eat lunch, etc, so the actual river time would be minimal for an overnighter. The hiking and scenery may be worth the extra down time in camp though. Don't count on the fishing being worth your time -- the fish will be in survival mode and the river will be brown.

we did it at 3500 and it took about 2.5hrs, but we weren't playing because we put on at 3pm and thought it would take a bit longer. Alot of the campsites were flooded, not sure how camping permits work though.

Awesome thanks for the beta! THe reason I asked was we are bringing for the 3rd year the Team River Runner Program out of washington D.C. Its a program to help the healing process of our war veterans from Walter Reid Medical Hospital. Many are Single, and Double Amputees. We are actually in a gamble right now because all the first year kayakers, are getting way good! So they are able to paddle 3+, to even solid fours. So this year we are breaking upt he group! The first group arrives after Fibark, and its the "advanced" group. So we are mostly looking for a fun over nighter, no stress, but to enjoy the scenery as well as pushing their kayaking abilities to the max. This group stomped Cross Mountain Gorge last year, so we are really just wanting to give them the over nighter experience, even if we take our time, playboat, and have fun! The hike alone might take a little longer! But they are fired up!

Im not sure what another Overnighter would be good at this time of the year. Any suggestion?

Thanks
Ben Guska

Make sure you check out (and comply) with all the regs down there because they are enforced. Especially consider group size (max of 12), required equipment, and fees.
