There was previous discussion about some celebratory trip down from the Pleasure Park. Am guessing this is what he is referring to.

Pleasure Park run is relaxing for the most part. Where are the public take-outs other than the Hwy 65 Austin/Cory bridge?

Float Trip Info & Registration

Hi all, Should be an awesome float. Put in is at Pleasure Park/BLM Forks in Crawford and take-out is at Gunnison River Farms (fishing resort, farm and orchard) in Austin.

The float will be followed by a festival at Gunnison River Farms with live music, food, a river gear silent auction, and boat demos.

This is the 14th year it's been organized by the Conservation Center so they've got this stuff down...

Here's the link to register!

Feel free to bring your own dukie or canoe - and contact me if you can captain a raft (captains float for free)

Sorry, I am talking about the float. It will be at Pleasure Park put-in, private take out at Gunnison Float. More info at conservationcenter.org Anyway, mellow morning float with festival after at Gunnison River Farms. Milo u are correct the river above this is very exciting and keeps you on your toes. There is a public take out at Orchard Take put. It is just up river from the farms on river left. Other than that it's Hwy 65 bridge or all the way into Delta now.

So, registration for this thing means you:
1. Get a shuttle
2. Can take-out at the farms
3. Donate to a cause

Correct?

Captains (those with their own gear) kind of always float for free...

Correct!

For registration ($20) you get a shuttle, a seat on a boat, admission to the festival, take out at the farms, and support a cause (river restoration).

If you bring your own boat with space for other paying passengers you float - and attend the festival - for free.

It's a blast! Get in your boat, or get into mine. I'll be there!
