Green Mountain this weekend

All,
Inflows to Green Mountain have begun to drop off. Additionally, Denver Water has reduced their release from Dillon Reservoir to the Blue. As a result, we have curtailed our releases by 40 cfs. As of yesterday afternoon (September 30), the flow in the Lower Blue River below Green Mountain Dam was approximately 710 cfs.

Many have asked for river flow projections through October and into November. Several factors are involved in releases at Green Mountain. At this time, it appears that we will have a minimum release of 500 cfs through the end of October to meet downstream demands. Flows greater than 500 cfs are dependent on weather conditions and inflow. With the current inflow, we anticipate the 710 cfs to last at least through next week.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any related questions.

Have a great weekend,
Kara
