Grand Junction boaters

Looking to find the local boaters around town. I recently relocated from the front range. I would like to get out on the water before it all goes down.

We are doing the extended Sawpit section all the way to Placerville (nice long 12 mile run, fun class III section) call Ty for meet-up place. Will leave Placerville around 11.

eholm and seldomseen. Whats's your flavor? Our little group tries to hit most of the cl2+ to 4 in the area when it's running then we will start venturing farther to find water as the season progresses. My number is in a earlier reply. Call or text if either of you are interested in hooking up on some runs. Might be planning something for midweek.

Guys all I can say is you gotta respond when invited, plain and simple. Ty Tanner from Junction is our lead hardsheller in our group, and Gunnerman (myself) is the Ik crony who has worked hard to mesh this older group of paddlers (mostly 50+) to run mostly class III to III+ all over the Western Slope. So contact Ty if you want to be put on the list of callbacks for runs we plan. Or call me Gunther to keep in touch. Rivers flows are dying fast so this week might be it for many of our favorite runs, then it will be the fantastic Taylor, famous Ark, and Gunny Gorge for the rest season. Gunnerman at 970-497-6512!! You gotta call back my friends!!!

I am a class II to lower class III GJ boater. Gunnerman and Ty are showing me the ropes. When they are unavailable or are doing upper class III and higher runs, I like to hit up the play parks or do runs like Plateau Creek, Shoshone (at about 4,000 cfs or below) on down to Glenwood, or GJ town runs. I have done Gunny Gorge (but it made me nervous), and I would really like to get out on the Roaring Fork, San Miguel, Anthracite Creek, Moab Daily, and other class II to lower class III runs. I am available for a lot of the summer and then on weekends. Feel free to PM me or call me at 626-437-0357.
