Good IK Rental in Boulder, Golden or BV?

A buddy is considering doing an adventure race in BV the weekend of (5/14) and wants to get a decent performing IK for the whitewater portion of the race (from BV to JV).

Does anyone rent solo IKs with thigh straps or at least some kind of foot brace that will give him better performance than the basic IKs he's seen used for the race in years past?

Thanks,

-AH

Confluence Kayaks has rented NRS MaverIK one-person IKs with the thigh straps and foot braces in the past.

Does it have to be a ducky or can it be a decked boat. I have some he could use. Pirouette S, old Holloform from the 70's, or a Speeder. I have skirts to fit too - in BV.

Luke,

Thanks - he's not a hardshell boater and needs a ducky, there's probably a requirement that it be an inflatable for the race so they're all on the same footing. I'll check with Jon at CK.

Any other suggestions welcome!

Hi CKS rents IK's 2 blocks from the event. I have done that event 2 times, pretty easy IK run. Unless the water gets above 1000 cfs.
