Golden Play Park

Is golden pp any good? I know that they remodeled it early this year but haven't made it down there yet and was thinking about going later today. Is library hole good? Can you get vertical/aerial in any of the hole? Any information would be appreciated.

I think Lyon's holes are better for vertical/aerial.

Unless you're on a tube and count flipping forward or backwards while on the tube as aerials, you'll be better off elsewhere. It's too shallow and there are so many tubers you'll do more waiting than surfing. It's "tubing" season in golden right now and will be until there is no water. come back in May. And fyi, the imporvements aren't all that great unless you like surfing a tiny tiny pocket (in bleacher hole) and getting skyyrocketed into a rock just barely visible above water line. Nothing fancy new here.

Correct, its like a half mile or less below the A-hole. If I remember correctly there is an area to park right at the hole, by the welcome to Lyons sign, but you have to be careful not to block truck access or the gravel roadway.

U-hole had been running 900ish until today. It is good for loops or huge enders above 900.They turned it down to 550 ish still a good beginner surf spot though too shallow for loops. They may turn it up again if the rainy pattern returns. Was 1000+ +rain the other day and no one was out there[union and u-hole] surf at will ,the tubers and kmart rafts usually just lap Union. It was nice to get three days in a row after work boating in town in August.I'll take Union-Oxford at medium over Golden low any day.
