Golden boaters?

I moved to Golden about a month ago. Been chasing front range water since. Is there any boaters that live in town at Golden? Ive seen boats on peoples cars, you might have seen me, with black green burn or blue jedi on a blue jeep. Anyways I know the season is over, but I live on the creek and will be looking for people this spring to rally clear creek, eddie out at my place have a couple beers then float down to throw down in the play park. Who's around? At the very least would be cool to hang with boaters in town this winter.

On a normal year clear creek is denver area boaters after work river. The play park is the normal meeting place. It is an awesome river with a bad rep. The blast rock definitely make you want to stay upright.
Anything from class II to class V.... what's not to like... all doable after work.

I had no idea CC had a bad rep. Best afterwork option within hours when its flowing. Do you live in one of those cool shacks river right above 93/6E?

I think the bad rap is a combination of the "it's not bailey" snobs combined with the raft traffic on the upper parts combined with what is typically a shorter season in comparison to, say, the Poudre. All perception. CC is the bomb.

Don't forget The Poudre Snobs. If our river is above 2.5 were not heading south, sorry.

That, and the fact that lower Clear Creek Canyon has far less sheep than Poudre Canyon. Above Idaho Springs, however...
