Gates of Ladore Minimum Flow?

Forgive for asking a silly question. The current flow on NPS sz 239cfs supposed to put on 6/28. Think it is worth it or even doable? thanks

Ladore canyon on the green is currently 1540 Cfs according to usgs. We have run it at 950 Cfs. It will be a good time.

You know you have to forfeit your permit to the one who calls out on the Ladore vs. Lodore thing right?

I better start packing!

The minimum flow is 950(800 on a bad year), they don't drop below that usually due to farming and fish requirements. I've ran it at around 1,000 during the rapids and it was just fine. Lots of rock dodging, but the river isn't pushy at all.

Anything under 10,000 cfs sucks BigTime. Can I have your permit?

Alex, we put in on the 4th of July for Lodore. I have run it at minimum flows as well. We'll have a good time. Lots of rock dodging at Hells half mile.

I ran it once at about 800 cfs. We had heavily loaded 16' rafts. If it weren't for our duckies, I may still be there I can't believe how many times I got stuck on rocks. A smaller boat would be much better for flows below 1000 cfs. It is doable, but pick your line carefully in Disaster, Triplet, and Hells Half Mile. On our trip, one boat would get stuck, them someone would bump them off and get stuck. It is shallow in spots, so it is hard to get a good stroke with the oars to maneuver and dodge all the rocks.
