Ft Collins Whitewater Park?

Does anyone know the scoop with a new WWP in the Fort? The City supposedly hired a designer last fall...

McLaughlin Water (did ASCI) has the contract. I believe there is one main drop with a second smaller one planned. They're shooting for something with a range of being good down to 300 and prime between 500 and 1500. Plans look sweet on paper but we all know that doesn't matter 'til it's in stone (literally). I thought they were going to be constructing this winter but that was a year ago I heard that, so it may have changed.

Nothing but lazy terrorists in charge of this project. I'm going to go dump a few shopping carts full of rocks in there. Who's with me? The shopping carts are already down there. We'll build a big keeper hole and throw the hobos in there!

what's the status of the RICD water right to guarantee a base flow most of the time? 300 is a lot of water compared to what flows through town most of the time, and 1500 would be like the mississippi river flowing through town.

The Ft Collins RICD is for 55 cfs. More like a toilet than the Mississippi. I heard the McLaughlin designs weren't feasible??
