Was on it last Sunday. It reminded me of Foxton, but a little easier. Remote and scenic, don't forget your pogies.

Bring flat water beers.. It is not pushy and has a few moves that you need to make I would say below 450 its not worth it...

The long time put-in next to the railroad is a no go anymore. They put a new no tresspassing sign up. We like dumbasses the first time we saw it disreguarded it and the Sheriffs officer gave us a warning...

If you call Dwight Miller (should be in the book) I have heard he is cool with people putting in on the bridge that goes across ranch creek.

May do it on Sunday...

yes... I have run it down three times and it was great, but they were all above 800 cfs. I would think that 550 would be the lowest you could run it at with a couple of tight spots.. There is a lot of flat water at the level but it is still fun. Avoid Thumper rock it, I hit it this year with my gf and we both swam.
If we run it sunday it will be in duckies unless it comes up...

We got chased off the regular put-in by the RR as well. Since then we've put-in on what I think is Hurd creek, and floated down to the fraser. Didn't see any "NO Trespassing" signs. Was this actually Ranch Creek? 2nd stream crossing after the turn off to Devil's Thumb?

We also put in at crooked creek right off of HWY 40, just like the new guide book says. I will never do this again since we pretty much had to scrape/walk the whole way down to the Fraser (took 40 min.). I think it was running about 8 cfs. And this was when the Fraser was running 800 cfs!

How is the rapid "white mile"? Lot of rocks in it or just wave trains?

At high water the white mile is mostly just wave trains. At this level, there are some rocks, but nothing that someone with class II/III skills has to worry about. The white mile is considerably easier than thumper.
