Foxton Fest

Last year 30+ folks paddled foxton on bailey fest weekend and a good time was had by all. I want to encourage all foxton paddlers to come to the takeout party at pine valley ranch on sat at ~2PM. All paddlers (foxton, bailey, waterton etc) are welome to come to the bailey fest campground as well.

I think CW is doing a cruise on foxton on sunday. I also heard some folks at clear creek expressing interest in saturday foxton runs.

I caught a little flak last year for calling the event Bailey Fest and having the foxton boaters feel a bit left out. Bailey Fest as it is shaping up has camping at the bailey put in, a party at the bailey take out, and attracts boaters from all over the state to run bailey, so Bailey is definitely the primary focus of the event. While bailey is the crown jewel of the north fork, I want to make sure that all foxton boaters know that they are welcome at all parts of the event, and that the release on the north fork benefits everyone.

Have fun and hope to see you at the fest!

There are indeed several boaters who are interested in the *Fest* but not so much up to the *Bailey* part (save for the camping and party afterwords). We'll be running/lapping Foxton/Waterton then moving to the post-paddle festivities afterwords. I'm sure they'll be a Deckers group forming as well.

The general consensus is to meet at 10am just below the boulder garden (at the T intersection). Should be fun! TURN ON THE TUNNEL!

I'll be running Foxton. I've run Bailey before, but I'm not up for it now.

You don't need to appologize for calling it a Bailey Fest. Bailey is special.

Foxton is a nice local run. But, Bailey is worth driving a ways to.

Getting Denver Water to do the scheduled release is really cool.
