Found a place to ship kayaks

I found a place in Denver to ship a kayak, and the service I got was really good, so far. I haven't dropped the boat off yet, but they were very friendly and helpful. It was only $115 to send the boat from Denver to Minneapolis, and I don't need to put it in a box or anything. Here is the contact info if anyone else needs to ship a boat. Or let me know if there is somewhere that might be better.

Is this cheaper than LL's shipping fee?

maybe but remember they provide a custom box, and spend a great deal of time packing the boat so it doesn't get damaged. That's a significant amount of labor that gets included in the cost of shipping. not to mention insurance.

Also, the $115 i'm paying doesn't include insurance, and they won't insure a used boat.

I got a boat shipped from Fluid via DHL. Picked it up in Denver and they were very nice too.

Seko most likely uses forward air. I see lots of kayaks there everyday, I pick and deliver air freight in DC, most of the time they are just wrapped in thin foam and plastic. If Seko is crating for that price, that's an awesome deal.

Just to throw it out there, I use RAC Transport and they're always friendly and do a great job. They call the ship to person before delivering as well. Not sure if they're the cheapest but they do provide a reliable service.
