Florida

Last week we went up to the Florida to dispel the myth of the big drop. It was indeed big. Looks like it might go, if you're into taking a hit. The rest of the creek was quality mank, with some smooth drops right above the big boy.
Buenas Linas!

That's a little on the mank side. Nice lines though. Is that first waterfall completely impossible? Looks like there's a small chance you could boof over the rocks.

Also, where is that? Somewhere near Vallecito?

It seems that the ledge at the bottom of the falls is not too much of an issue.. as long as you get some left to right direction after the lead in 15'. The lip of the main drop has a few flakes that could send you flying one way or another. The drops right above the big one make it worth the journey and the mank below is pretty fun.

So it looks you guys had about 300-400 cfs according to the gauge? The Landslide( pointy stick drop) is not runnable at lower flows. I'm also assuming that you hiked in following the Lost Lake trail to the top of the gorge which is about a 3 mile hike, because of snow up higher, yes? And you ran the lead in drop ( to the big boy) or hit the micro eddy at the top of it and hiked down the gully? You guy's are getting after it, sweet!

Looks like Pat Keller and Isaac Levinson fired up the big drop. There's a clip on Sleeping in the Dirt. Impressive stuff! That's a big frickin drop. They made it look easy. Them boys are killing it.
