I love the change in seasons. I get as pumped for winter to come as I am to see spring roll in. When I am skiing I don't jonez for paddling at all. When the water is up I have thoughts of nothing else. When neither is any good I ride my bikes.
Yesterday I had my first paddling session in Salida. A mellow 45 minutes at 500cfs. It would be boring in August but in March it feels good to get out and try to make things feel easy again. I don't get frustrated at how I feel in the spring, it is fun trying to slow things down again and focus on good technique. Nothing on this video will impress anyone...just an early spring session starting to get ready for the season.

smooth opertor, nice encouragement
Cool post, Mike. Good encouragement to escape work for a session. Lookin' smooth, as usual. Maybe one more trip to CB this weekend and then exchange the boards for the boats. See you on the river. Hope to head a little south soon and will holler at you to go. Cheers! - KV
