ELFing the Numbers at 175 CFS

Pretty dang beautiful on the rio yesterday. Ran #4 thru #7 with a good bud in peak colors. 175 on the below Granite gauge makes for fluid lines but you've got to work for them. 230 a couple weeks ago felt like fat ELFing with multiple lines going in many spots. Now we're getting down into the guts enough so lots of spots only have one line. No push but lots and lots of moves to be made. Feel sooo lucky to have this as a year round back yard run.

Glad you had a good run Phil, sorry I couldn't make it...but I did have an extremely nice bike ride.

In kayaking circles, ELF= Extremely Low Flow
Definitions (and levels of boat abuse) vary; if there is a line and you're not hitting rocks, that sounds de-luxe to me

Yeah, de-luxe! Wonderfully, elegant, complex lines. Follow the water, use the rocks...
